   Great drone at a fraction of the cost

   So, I’ve held off on my review to fully test the done. I didn’t want to say it’s good without testing it in every condition available to me. But it’s good! Especially at its price point.First of all, I’ve gone running with my drone (follow mode), hiking (take a picture at the peak), desert hiking, kayaking (GPS route planned), skateboarding (follow mode), and playing tennis (left mid-air to watch from above). Plus tested the drone in different wind conditions, from level 1 to level 4 wind conditions.The drone has surpassed my expectations. I can literally take it anywhere with me. Since it’s the size of a small lunch bag, including the controller and the batteries, it’s super convenient and I don’t have to care. I simply charge the batteries overnight and take it with me everywhere I go. It has a permanent spot in my car. The only complaint I have is that I want more batteries since I use it pretty often and I forget to charge it or I just absolutely fly it like a madman.Since I’ve started training my running form I have taken my drone with me and put it on follow mode. That way I can record my form through the whole run. It sounds kind of silly, but right now I’m trying to get faster and it works out perfectly. I can see when I’m leaning too far back, or slouching too much, or when I’m not pushing from my toes and just lifting my legs, or when my cadence is off, etc. Kinda geeky, but that’s what I mainly use it for on my morning runs.The f7 comes with 2 batteries in the bag, so you are able to fly it for 1 whole hour in two 30-minute intervals. It will alert you when you need to change the battery and go back to “home” if it dies mid-flight. It’s pretty good considering you are using the camera and other stuff.  It does last a little longer if it’s on manual mode and you aren’t actively taking video and just messing around. But if you put it in sport mode and fly like I do it will last 20-24 mins. Still, pretty good considering all the stress I put this through haha.Talking about the battery, the drone lasts less in high wind conditions. But that’s not a bad thing. It auto-corrects so it doesn’t drift with the wind. In level 4-5 conditions, it does struggle. Close to 17-23 mph and I didn’t feel too comfortable flying it without risking feeling like it was going to crash if I wasn’t careful. I didn’t want to risk breaking it after I’ve come to use it so much. I hope you understand…I would honestly compare it to my friend’s DJI mini 2 but at half the price.Something that I thought was funny was the location of the SD card slot. It’s on the side of the drone and it blends right in, so I just kept looking over it. I don’t want to admit it but it took me looking at the manual to find it… You need to format or something on the SD card the first time you use it if you are trying to fast-speed write. But you don’t have to until you are ready and you can use it at normal write speed. Thought I would share that so you didn’t accidentally click on it. After it was configured for fast writing it didn’t ask for anything else and hasn’t asked about it since.There is a message in the app, that you can skip over, that teaches you how to set up and use the drone. So you don’t need to worry about reading the instructions every time you want to fly. Especially if you lost them. Plus it’s pretty intuitive, so it works great.I can honestly say that it’s a great drone. It follows me everywhere I run, it’s pretty smooth when I record my friend’s skateboarding, or when I go out kayaking or hiking. It’s half the price of a DJI mini 2 and has all the same features, so I’m pretty happy with it. I did reach out to BWine to buy more batteries since I wanted to have some backup ones and didn’t have the link and they helped pretty quickly with that. I was honestly surprised at their customer support. I genuinely expected them to take a week to reply but they sent a reply overnight. So that was pretty cool.Hopefully, this helps, I love when I can check out other people’s reviews before I buy something 🙂

   Great fun and an Excellent company to do business with

   This drone is a great value for the price point. I was interested in having a drone but not interested in spending a thousand dollars for a pro model. So, I ordered what I thought would be a good intro to drones, and clearly made a good decision. This drone is easy to set up and easy to get started. The down side for me, personally, is that it takes a little hand/eye coordination and an adventerous mentality. I have the latter but not so much the former. Regardless of my personal learning curve, it has been so much fun practicing. It’s a rugged and smart device and relates well with my iPhone 13 mini smartphone. I’m blown away by the videos and pics that I have taken with this drone, with such high quality. It’s exhilarating flying, and even talking about my ‘flights’ gets my heart racing. So, here’s the icing on the cake: I’m flying the thing and I hadn’t realize that one of the blades was severed during one of my numerous crashes, which by the way are getting fewer and fewer. The drone was taking a weird path towards trees and a brook and, of course, I panicked and steered the wrong way, even more towards the trees. The drone got caught up in branches, stalled and descended to the ground, right into a shallow brook that runs on my property line. Unfortunately, it landed in about 5 inches of water, which although easily retreivable, ultimately ruined parts of the drone’s electronics and killed the battery. I called Bwine’s support number and simply wanted to know the most economical way to get back up and running again from my own stupid sequence of events. They asked me to send a video of what damage had been done to the drone. Essentially, only two of the propellers worked after my accident. I sent them a video of the semi-lame drone trying to achieve lift-off, and without further ado, they said they were going to send me a “bare drone” (meaning no peripherals, blades, batteries, bag, etc). What I received was much more than a bare drone and enough parts/accessories to get me up and running again. So, I continue my droning adventures! I absolutely love this “toy”. I don’t know if I’ll elevate to the “pro” model and invest 5 times the cost of this one, and not sure that I would want to. This is a great little little investment that is generating hours of fun. My friends and neighbors are just as enthralled as I am with this little device, and actually think that I’m a good pilot! I swear, if you’re thinking about getting into the ‘droning life’, this is a great jumping off point, because it’s a great device and it’s a great company to deal with, with awesome customer support. I totally agree with the other positive reports about the Bwine F7 Mini drone.

   Good starter drone

   This drone was advertised as a cheaper alternative to drones costing hundreds – the reality is it’s still a fairly expensive drone that has limited battery life, limited operating range and some communications glitches. On the negative side:The battery life is only about 10 minutes per pack. – there is an approximately 25% capacity reserve which is basically unusable since the drone will only allow return-to-start flight when the battery shows 2 of four bars.The operating range is only approximately 150′ before the unit starts glitching and the communication starts freezing for periods of time. If you exceed this range, the chances are good that the drone will become uncontrollable until you walk closer. Any obstructions to line-of-sight will result in signal loss (think about your home wifi).The camera is very high def, but there is no gimbal so the images are very shaky. You can control the angle of the camera on one axis but requires bringing up an on-screen toggle.The positives:The GPS system seems very good – it will return to an area within a few feet of take-off. It is easy to calibrate and it has an on-screen indicator of location relative to the base. The auto return works reasonably well.The camera is very crisp and clear.The drone is easy to learn to operate even for a beginner, and the stabilization software works OK for low-wind days (<5-10 mph).Overall this drone is a decent, low-cost system but the price is a little high for the features provided, in my opinion. Limited range is the biggest disappointment.

   Not too bad for the price

   First time drone user here. Bought this on prime day for a ridiculous deal. I’d say the instruction manual and getting started was a little more difficult than I had hoped. Not sure if I just glazed over the details but it took me about 20 min to figure out how to get the drone turned on and synced. Once figured out, the rest was kind of easy. Pictures taken were pretty decent but not spectacular. Again, its a low cost drone, not surprised but wanted to be honest for this review. The drone itself is made out of what appears to be thin plastic. It has survived several crashes, one from a pretty substantial height, although it was into some medium length grass which im sure helped cushion the fall. Have not totally tested out the distance/height this thing can fly because I dont want it to get lost. Flew it in 10mph winds and it held its own, even through a few strong gusts. I’m sure there are better drones out there but for a beginner but this one is pretty cool and doesn’t have a huge learning curve for flying it. One minor issue I have with it, is that the battery pack did not survive a very minor crash. It looks like the back plate of it is held to the rest of pack with the very thinnest piece of plastic and upon crash the back plate cracked off and the entire rest of the battery got shoved deep into the drone and had to be removed with pliers. Thing still flies just fine with the other battery! Seems pretty durable. Also came with a cool carrying case about the size of a camera case. Very happy with this purchase.Update: After talking with customer service about the issues I have they have sent me an extra battery to replace my broken one! It took a little longer than expected but they were more than happy to help with my issue. Going to work on my flying skills and then maybe post a video!

   [Updated]The seller has been monitoring the reviews, and approached me after my original review, offering full refund or further discounts and starting requesting personal information. I don’t want to contaminate Amazon reviews as I would hope to trust them for my future purchases.Meanwhile, I tested the drone for couple of more flights. The verdict is that this is a very basic drone and easily lose signal and starts flying back. Would not recommend.———[Original] Bought this to practice drone control and aero-photography.On the flying part, this drone would receive 4 stars. It is well built, and the battery life is very impressive. 1 star gets deducted for the range. It would lose signal at around 800 ft (defective?), and as soon as the signal is lost, the drone would fly back automatically. I tested it in a widely open field in my community.On the image side, the drone would only receive 1 star. Its camera is barely stabalized, thus, any wind condition would make the image shaky, and when flying via app, the image is lagging and unstable, making it very hard to really capture images.Furthermore, it says it’s a 4k drone in the ads. But from the app, it only supports 2.7k max.Overall, it is a very good drone to fly (way better than any <$100 toys in the market).    Somewhat frustrating

   This is my first drone, so keep that in mind. The app has issues, and has been frustrating to use. The icons are very small and hard to see, even on my large phone screen. Instructions are sometimes inconsistent or incomplete. The signal lights on the underside of the drone are very difficult to see in sunlight when it’s on the ground. There’s different colors and flashing rates which is hard to interpret. Too many times I’ve had to start from the beginning with the setup procedure and sometimes it’s been my fault but several times it hasn’t been. When everything works, it’s been fun to fly. I think my overall opinion is that I am sorry I got it, maybe I should have gotten a higher quality one.

   Pretty solid camera

   I was going to include a photo but it’s not of best quality and the other photos people included are basically the gist of it. I use an iPhone 14 and I set it to 2.7k quality. Camera is not 4k. It says it is, but I’ve seen 4k cameras and it’s not 4k. This little drone is fun to operate. The controller uses an antenna for better connection. My drone makes about 8-12 inch diameter circles while hovering because of the connection to controller. If this continues I will need to get a different model. But I’m pretty sure this has to do with the antenna connectivity. This company is cool overall and works quick with Amazon. Keep in mind if you get the f7 and not the mini you have to register it in California… which seems strange but also a perk to this drone(f7 mini) is the fact it’s .04lbs under the limit for registration requirements. Keep in mind also when you get other more expensive drones like the dji mini, they tend to include a screen in the controller built in, and the connection is based off a private connection to the drone specifically, where Bwine uses an app that uses your cell phone connection and then WiFi. If someone brings your network down they bring down your ability to utilize an air camera using this drone. Could be pretty isolating if you know what I mean. But if you have good connection with your network no other drone will be as good for the price! Highly recommend.

    Bwine support awesome

    The power on and off instructions aren’t clear, and customer support returned my call the next day, giving me verbal instructions. Remember to power up, short press the power button then long press. Same to power off.The drone’s control range is short. When it loses comm, it’s coming back. At least it comes back.The images aren’t stabilized but it’s not priced like a DJI. Image quality good.It’s a great first drone. Over all a great value proposition at recent pricing around $150

    Drone had issues Bwine made it right

    I tested the drone once before going on vacation in the bahamas. It ended off flying away on its first flight out of country. Bwine contacted me after i left a 2 star review and offered me a replacement or a refund. I decided to go with a replacement and they sent me another drone. I have tested it in the states but have yet to see if the same issue occurs outside the states. Overall the customer service team worked hard to accommodate me. Although, someone on their team initially didn’t want to send a replacement until I changed my review. I refused to update my review as a type of payment for a replacement, but they eventually did the right thing regardless. Other than this weird interaction via email I was pretty happy with how hard they tried to make it right. They have since followed up to ensure I received it and confirm it’s operating properly.

    learning to fly

    a great song writer wrote that, however, for myself, I have a few years and a few hundred hours in simulator and real flights. I have flew a few drones in my day and I can say that this one, is about the beginner/ every once and a while flier. if your wondering about buying this one and thinking you’ll receive this amazing quality drone. I’d look elsewhere. HOWEVER, that does not mean this is a bad drone. personally, I flew it for around 10 mins.l than ended up selling it. because I bought it from the mentality of being better than it was.

    I purchased two F7 mini as gifts to my 2 nephews on a recent visit to Vietnam. They both love their new “flying cameras” as they called them. There’s no issues with the reliability and capabilities of the F7 minis that I was aware of. I actually flew the drone with one of the 2 nephews on many occasions. (one nephew lives in another area, and I didn’t have a chance to fly his drone, but was told by him and his parents that it was a great drone and they love every thing that drone has to offer. The family had many hrs of fun with it.)However, there were a couple of issues I’d like to bring up here. One, from the drone’s app, the message “No GPS signal, can’t start the motors” appeared on my nephew’s iPhone 11, even though the GPS signal appeared full strength and the drone was able to fly. The problem was that the No GPS signal msg blocked most of the phone’s screen and thereby blocked the controls buttons and the videos the drone captured and sent back to the phone. I contacted Bwine staffs by email and was promptly receiving support with their reassurance that they’d do their best to resolve the problem. I updated iPhone to the latest software version, updated the app as instructed, sent flight logs, etc… and finally the message “No GPS signal, can’t start the motors” stopped appearing on the phone’s screen. It took time and effort on Bwine’s part to figure out what was causing the problem and they did it. It tells me that Bwine support is top notch. They’ll go to great length to make their customers happy. Thank you!The other issue has to do with one of the 2 batteries. It was missing the on/off button. Bwine promised to send a replacement, but since I was oversea for an extended length of time, but after I came back, I contacted the company and a replacement battery was sent to me as promised. Great service Bwine and you kept your promised.I’m very happy with the Bwine’s products and after sale’s services. I’d recommend Bwine products to every one out there.

    Fun to fly and tough!

    Easy to fly and seems to be well built. I ran it into a satellite dish on my roof with no noticeable damage lol. I’m not sure the batteries last 30 minutes (for the quoted 60 min total flight time) but it’s not bad. For the price it’s worth it but don’t consider it an inexpensive alternative to a premium mini drone.

    Great beginner drone

    Bought this for my business. It has a 9 MP sensor with decent quality lens. The controls are comfortable to use. The low light quality is very poor. But the camera is small so I’m not surprised. The drone is decently stable. The controls are very sensitive, so you have to slowly move for a smooth motion. For the price, it’s a phenomenal drone. Last for 20 minutes. Great buy

    Its not great. But they try to make it right

    **Edit**They did finally send a new drone and offered 2 year warranty. It Flys ok and the camera is ok for what you’re paying for.Drone will not connect to remote. Wrote a scathing review once. The company reached out for a replacement and unfortunately, I took the bait. I thought their customer service was great but now I have no drone and no way to return to Amazon. Trash. A 250 gram paperweight.

    You can pretty much expect the quality to be a little lower for the price, but given how cheap it is I love it. I would recommend it for first time drone buyers for sure. If you are a little more experienced, I would say just save up a bit and get a nicer one. Makes a great gift.

    Excellent customer service great product!

    My overall review is 5 stars… as a beginner with zero experience I expected some struggles. I had a slight issue learning how to get this drone going, but with some help from customer service, watching the videos several times, and enlisting the help of a teenager (humble moment…I am not a tech savvy as I thought); it now works amazing and I love it! -The photo quality far exceeds my expectation. -Customer service checked in via email several times and has been a great help! -Flight is a bit touchy, keep in mind that you have to feather the controls gently and slowly, once you get the hang of that it is smooth and works wonderfully! – Batteries last about 15-20 minutes each. – Price is great for a beginner drone!Overall, while I found it a little frustrating at first, I worked through the kinks, had patience, and believe this is an amazing device! I would definitely recommend this drone!

    Amazing drone with features for the price!

    This is my first drone and first attempt at using one. I needed to get some good footage of my roof to check for cracked tiles/issues etc. I read the reviews and watched many videos on YouTube before purchasing one for myself! Getting it up and running, getting my first flight and recordings was so easy, even for someone my age 50+ you will not regret getting this little guy for fun or for a purpose.

    Good value for the money

    After ordering a drone from a different site( not Amazon) I was disappointed with what I got. Not the product I ordered which explained the great deal I got (200$ value and only cost me 68$). I should have known better. I went with this drone because it was marked down from 279$. I am impressed with how many user friendly features it has. It has a sturdy feel and good quality components. After charging I took it out for a test flight and it handled well even with slight wind. After reading the manual I tried out some of the many features it has. Built in compass and gps kept the drone from getting lost when I tried to fly it really high. The ap has lots of cool features like planned route and follow me which worked pretty well.Once you calibrate the drone pre flight as explained in the manual, the drone can literally hover in place without touching the controls. It will automatically adjust to air pressure/wind conditions so you don’t get that drift you see with cheaper drones.Customer service has been good so far. I didn’t have any problems with the drone but found it hard to replace propellers with other drones in the past. When I emailed the seller asking where I could find propellers, I got a quick reply and seller sent me extras for free. Very happy with this drone

    Great value- bad battery

    I initially thought the drone was bad because it was static and not responsive. I then tried using the 2nd battery the unit shipped with and it’s performance was perfect! I would have given 5-stars if I had 2 good batteries for it, since right now my flying time is half of what it should be with 2 good batteries.

    Easy setup for a newbie

    easy to use.

    I love the drone. I was worried about a learning curve. But it was pretty straight forward and simple. And better than my old drones that kept crashing and going out of control. I did not like their christmas photo for the product I fixed it. I added santa hats on the drones. Better family christmas photo now!

    My 1st drone

    Very easy to connect to my phone and the app is easy to use. This is my very first done so it definitely taking some practice for me but the simplicity of the controls have helped me fly this around with ease. I’m looking forward to my hours of play time.

    Lots of fun for my 12 year old

    I bought this for my son and he’s really enjoyed it. He sometimes gets in trouble flying it low in our backyard with all the trees, so I’ve encouraged him to fly it higher above the trees. It does this really well. He has had several previous drones and this has been the easiest to connect and use. The video quality is good too. I asked for him to share his thoughts as well. Here is what he had to say…The drone is very easy to fly. The drone was very easy and fun to unbox. I like how it folds up and fits in the case that comes with it. I really like that it comes with 2 batteries so I have a backup if one dies. I fly it up in the air for longer than any previous drone and the battery lasts forever. The drone is very easy to fix. I crashed my drone in a tree and broke the front left arm. I got a new drone arm from amazon and watched the video on amazon. I do wish the video was on youtube because that is where I looked first, but it was a huge help to know how to disassemble it. Also when you fix the arm you have to solder it on and off. I wish there was just a plug, but my dad helped me solder it. I fixed it and the drone flew very well. I really like how I can move the camera up and down so I can see when I am landing. I can see If I am over the landing pad. The camera is really good. Overall this is my favorite drone I have ever had. I enjoy flying it and have fun with my new drone.

    Survived a water crash

    Day 2 of my first drone. I got cocky and tried to fly through my boat lift. Needless to say I wasn’t ready. The F7mini crashed and went into the lake. It remained submerged in 6’ of water for about 5 minutes while I ran in to get my suit and a mask. The water temperature was 57 degree F btw.I tapped it on all sides to get water out then put a hairdryer on it. It eventually dried out and still works.If you’re a beginner I recommend ordering extra blades.I intend to use the F7mini to learn flying, video and editing before moving on to bigger and better.

    Great Entry-level Drone

    I bought this as my first drone to see if I would like to fly one and learn how to fly. This thing actually blew away my expectations. It’s fairly easy to set up, although sometimes it’s difficult to power on. Once synced up, the drone is super responsive. The camera isn’t as good as the higher end ones, but if you were expecting DJI-quality on this, you are in for disappointment. Treat this as a fun beginner drone, and you’ll have loads of fun. I’m going to buy another battery for mine so I can fly even longer.

    Easy to Operate with great instructions and support

    This product has some awesome setup videos that need 1 tweak. In step 3 it says to open app and set permissions. However, when I open the app it goes back to step 1 and starts over. I found that if I go to step 4 first and hit go it will open the app where I was then able to complete step 3.After that it was smooth sailing! This drone is easy to control and puts out great video.

    As good as it should be

    Its as good as it should be for the price and size of the drone. My only complaint is the range. I lose signal before reaching the advertised range, but its still a good drone.

    Great First Drone!

    Honest review after 2 weeks of use… This is an affordable drone for a beginner or hobbyist. It provides good video quality and pictures. The battery life is really good, I usually get around 25 or 30 minutes of flight per full charge. It is a fairly robust drone, crashed it a couple times and still works good. It tends to lose signal if you go too far, so try to keep it within sight distance. Also, the image stabilization isn’t as smooth as more expensive drones, but that’s to be expected at this price point. The GPS follow feature works really good for me, the drone followed me while running around the block. The app works well, and I prefer using the on-screen controls instead of the included controller. I recommend using the drone only if its relatively calm outside, dont use in high wind! I like the included carrying bag because it keeps everything nice and organized. Overall, based on price point, quality and features, I’m giving this 5 stars. It’s not a drone for professional photographers or content creators, though. This is a primarily a drone aimed at hobbyists or beginners and with that expectation in mind, it deserves 5 stars. Make sure if this is your first drone, to take it to a large field and practice with it. Use small, deliberate adjustments to get the hang of it. Do not use indoors! If you’re in the market for a good, 1st drone, then this drone should be at the top of your list of consideration. 5 STARS !!!

    Fantastic mini drone!

    I will say upfront that I am a huge fan of Bwine and an avid flyer of my F7. That being said, while looking for a mini drone for quick fun flying the Mini F7 was a no brainer. The Mini F7 weighs less than the max weight for registration through the FAA in the US. That should be good news for casual fliers of drones.With all that out of the way – a review of the Mini F7. This drone is agile and responsive to controls, it also takes great video and photos. I just started flying this so as you can see in the video I was a bit aggressive with the attitude and altitude adjustments. The battery life is about what you would expect, and are around 20 min per battery taking into account wind etc that suck down battery life. Another thing that I really appreciate is the app (I use the Android version on a Samsung 5G Ultra). The app walks you through setup of the drone, allows adjustment from beginner mode to advanced, and shows a multitude of options while in flight for different settings. My experience in searching a lower cost drone (ie not Autel or DJI) is that the app support was non existent or required far to many permissions. Where I have said all positive things, be aware this is a lightweight drone – it will be taken by higher winds at higher altitudes. Be aware of your winds aloft and all will be well.Overall, this is a great little drone – good for beginners and advanced fliers alike.

    Very nice drone

    This drone is really easy to use for a first time drone pilot. It takes very little to learn how the use it. The video and pictures are awesome. I highly recommend it for first time users or even a pro.

    Great drone with big features for little price

    I got this drone on prime day. I’ve always wanted a more professional drone than the ones you can get at Walmart for $30 but I didn’t want to shell out a thousand or more dollars. This Bwine drone has a lot of features that the more expensive ones have but for a much lower price. Getting it on prime day didn’t hurt. So far I’m happy with the flying experience and the battery life is great. Also the picture quality from the onboard camera is surprisingly good. I highly recommend this drone to anyone wanting to try one out without a huge investment.

    Didn’t meet expectations

    Bought this as a Christmas present for myself and based on the reviews and description I was really excited to use it. After having it for 3 months, and using it on several occasions, I can say I am disappointed.While the unboxing was great and looked promising, the use experience was much less than what I expected for what was paid. It took quite a while to get the Drone on its first flight due to minimal instructions and difficulty pairing the remote. There are times where pairing is quite fast and others where I had to forgo a planned trip to use it because it would not pair.Even when using the drone, the experience is not what I expected. The app is not very interface friendly, the range of clear image quality is lacking and it regularly freezes, requiring me to land the drone and reset both systems. In a recent use case, the Drone went haywire and would not accept commands via the remote or the app, causing it to be stuck in the air.While the app has some cool features, I found that modes like “follow me” rarely works, and causes more problems than it’s worth using.I like how it’s small, takes pretty good pictures and comes with plenty equipment, but none of that matters if it can’t do what it’s designed for on a consistent basis – which is fly.

    Fun and easy to use

    I would have pictures but I had a little accident. Even though the drone lost signal to the compass during the return to home feature and flew away into the timber and I was not able to locate it, I still give it five stars. Amazon customer service gave me the run around as far as who to talk to for about an hour and then I finally got the manufactures number. Called them and let them know what the issue was and they were very sympathetic and provided me with a replacement drone. Hands down an amazing little drone and its worth every Penny.

    I received the bwine f7 mini drone with a fault in the cell phone holder so I cannot use it, also when unfolding one of its 4 wings the plastic was damaged, a shame, because the camera has good definition and the batteries are acceptable , I will wait for the response from support, and then I will send the response.
